hello everyone!!

hello everybody! long time no speak! well at the army our two leaders (the old ones - older the wiser!) have deserted me and my fellow youth alpha inmates and left us in a Christmas play (my brother is being an idiot whilest trying to look cool...) so all i have to say to that leaders is: THANKS A BUNCH!

recently i and my fellow "gang" at the army have been to our youth councils (for those of you who don't know that is a weekend at a set place where evrybody sees everybody else and we all have fun praising the Lord and laughing at random things that most of you will not understand) (ha) we had a lot of fun and loved spending time playing football with fellow Armies and beating everyone else to come top! yes guys the lot that i call "Palton" came top of the legaue - well done! Well youth councils was a blast and i can't wait to see everyone again!

what a week...or rather 4 days....

well this week most of you will know it has been mad, tiring and emotional. basically we were robbed our possesions gone but thankfully we're insured, although the things of sentimental value have gone. but we'll get by and it will all be fine.

right... to sundays lesson (i know its late). we basically looked at some verses of scripture. these verses where about prayer and we (me n squelch81) drew pictures to represent them (mine were rubbish as usual - i don't know why i took art!) . i'll find out what those verses are and post them next time.

anyways i better go i don't think my old female leader will be hapy if i'm late for singing practise!

Here's yesterdays lesson.....(6th Nov '05)

Yesterdays (sorry if I say 'today's') lesson was about prayer. We looked at what it is and reasons why we pray.

We thought that prayer is communication with God. A bit like talking to a friend but without them being visible. We wondered why we prayed and came up with:

• to build a relationship with God.
• Jesus prayed - we want to be like Him.
• it brings peace, joy and reassurance.
• It can change situations - (Matthew 7:7 : ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you)

We were taught a certain prayer, The Lord's Prayer. This is to be found in Matthew 6:9-15

9"This, then, is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, our kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Amen.

best leaders ever!!!!

i just wanted to say....

i just wanted to ay a big i mean BIG thank you to our leaders! they know who they are!

this course is helping me see, bit by bit, a clearer image of God and where i want my faith to lead. My faith is growing and i am so thankful.

so yet again i say thanks, thanks and more thanks. God is working through our leaders to share their faith with us.
